philanthropy Our chapter dues are used for various philanthropic activities, including the following. Our dues completely support these activities and we do not do any other fundraising throughout the year. Eileen Blain Rudolph Scholar | Sleighbell | South Bay Panhellenic | LMU | Philanthropy Chair
Our chapter supports at least one Eileen Blain Rudolph Scholar each year. The EBR award recognizes the collegiate chapter's member with the highest grade point average at the end of her junior year. This award is given during the following fall. The Scholar is recognized with her name listed in the Trident and receives a gold color book charm (that she can hang on her trident/badge). Our chapter sponsors the EBR Scholar from Loyola Marymount University in Westchester, CA. She will be presented her award at the Southern California Alumnae Council Founders Day Event on Sunday, November 18th. Sunday, Nov 18, 2007, 10:00am
Sleighbell is the longest running, continually supported Tri Delta philanthropy, and Southern California Delta Delta Delta's traditional opening of the holiday season. Sleighbell raises money to fund research to cure cancer and blood diseases at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. Many South Bay Alumnae members have taken part in the planning committee for Sleighbell over its long history. In addition, the chapter provides financial support through the donation of a silent auction prize, collegiate luncheon, patron donation, and a full page ad in the program. Tuesday, Dec 04, 2007, 10:00am Visit here for more information about Sleighbell.
